Using ADX to Confirm Chart Timeframe Trends

The Average Directional Index (ADX) measures trend strength and helps confirm whether a market is trending strongly enough to justify a trade.

How to configure:

  1. Enable the ADX option under Chart Timeframe Filters.
  2. Trades will only execute when the ADX value exceeds a predefined level (e.g., 21).

Example:

  • Enable ADX to ensure trades are only taken in strong trending conditions.
  • Pair with an EMA filter to confirm both trend direction and strength.

Tips:

  • Use ADX in volatile markets to avoid trades during weak trends.
  • Combine ADX with other indicators for a well-rounded filtering strategy.
