How TradeShields Disables Trading Around News Events
When enabled, TradeShields automatically adjusts trading activity around high-impact news events. Here's how it works:
- Open trades: Closed 30 minutes before the news.
- New trades: Blocked 30 minutes before and 15 minutes after the news.
How to configure:
- Enable filters for the regions you want to avoid (e.g., USA).
- TradeShields will handle the rest, pausing and resuming trading automatically.
Example:
- For the Non-Farm Payrolls (NFP) release, TradeShields will stop trading at 8:00 AM ET and resume at 8:45 AM ET.
Tips:
- Combine this setting with risk management tools to minimize exposure during news-driven volatility.
- Use backtesting to understand how avoiding news impacts your strategy's performance.
