Setting Trade Days: Trading Weekdays or Weekends
TradeShields lets you choose which days of the week your strategy is active. This is particularly useful for avoiding periods of low activity, such as weekends for forex markets or public holidays.
How to configure:
- Navigate to Time Filters in the input panel.
- Toggle the checkboxes for each day:
- Mon–Fri: Enable trading during standard market hours.
- Sat–Sun: Enable trading for weekend markets (e.g., cryptocurrencies).
Example:
- For forex trading, disable Sat and Sun to prevent trades during the weekend when markets are closed.
- For crypto trading, enable all days to capture 24/7 market opportunities.
Tips:
- Check your broker's operating hours to avoid placing trades when markets are inactive.
- Use this setting to align with your personal trading schedule.
